Save the Date! Califa Vendor Fair 2011!
Updated August 30, 2011
For those of you who are registered for the vendor fair, please note that the draft program is now online: here
Back for a third year, Califa is delighted to announce our Annual Vendor Fair to be held in the library of the beautiful Santa Clara
University on September 1, 2011.
Please join us for a full day of in-depth demonstrations and an opportunity to learn about new products, updates, and share best
practices with Califa vendors, and other members. The day will be split into blocks of 40 minutes, during which time there will
be up to 7 available demonstrations for attendees to choose from. Each vendor will have the opportunity to present at least twice
during the day.
Breakfast and sign-in will begin at 8:30 with the first demonstrations starting at 9:30. Breakfast and lunch are both included.
Even better? For the second year in a row the event will be Free for Califa Members ($20 for non-members to cover the cost of food). The day will end at 3:30pm.
Last year we offered an optional tour of the new library at the end of the day, and if there is sufficient interest again this year, we can
set that up.

For Vendors: As of August 15, all of the time slots have filled up, and we are unable to accomodate new vendors. Please contact us in early May of 2012 to be part of the
2012 Vendor Fair. If you are planning to ship items (samples, marketing materials, flyers, etc) please ship them to the Califa office by
August 18. We will bring them to Santa Clara University the morning of the Fair. The address is:
Califa Library Group
32 W. 25th Ave, Ste 201
San Mateo, CA 94403
Again, we need them to arrive at least two weeks before the event so that we have enough time to plan how many vehicles we'll need to get them to the site and make those arrangements.
To reach the University from the San Francisco International Airport (SFO), take BART from the airport to the Millbrae combined
BART/Caltrain station and then take Caltrain to the Santa Clara stop. When you exit the station, walk across El Camino Real to the main
entrance of the University. If you are driving, here is the link to the location on google maps.
Once you are on El Camino Real, you will turn on Palm Drive and if you are driving, you will speak to the parking attendant who will direct you
to the parking structure, where you will park on the third floor. When you come out of the parking structure, you will be behind the library, and
it will be diagonal to your left.
To reach the University from Mineta (San Jose) International Airport, take the free VTA Airport Flyer (bus #10) to the Santa Clara
Caltrain station. The Caltrain station is next to the University. The bus runs approximately every 10 minutes during daytime hours. Follow
the same directions as above once you are on campus.
Hotel Information: For those traveling and staying overnight, the Candlewood Suites has been recommended.
If you need a cab to get back to the airport, Yellow Cab is a good choice. Their number is (408) 483-5370.
Thanks for being part of this event, and we can't wait to see you on September 1 on the beautiful Santa Clara University Campus. Why not take a moment and register now so you don't forget!
